The Greater Sacramento Softball association is an affiliation of USA Softball (Formerly ASA), the National Governing Body of softball. We are one of 70 associations in the United States. USA Softball has many important responsibilities as the National Governing Body of softball in the United States, including regulating competition to insure fairness and equal opportunity.

All-American Games Open Try-Out - Annual 2017

USA Softball of Sacramento has the opportunity to select a total of four (4) athletes and one (1) coach to represent our Association at the USA Softball All-American Games in Oklahoma City. These athletes will join other athletes to play on the Pacific Coast Region team. 

All players in our association have the opportunity to be selected through an Open Try-Out hosted on March 11th. Select players from the Open Try Out will be invited to the Final Selection Camp on March 12th.

Spring Registration is now available for our youth weeknight travel team league hosted at Antelope High School.

This league is designed to provide a place for travel teams to play in live games that will add to your spring schedule. The league is played with modified USA Softball rules to allow everyone to bat during regular games. 

Age divisions offered include:

10u - Tuesday Nights

12u - Wednesday Nights

14u - Thursday Nights

2017 NATIONAL UMPIRE SCHOOL

USA Softball of Sacramento is proud to host the 2017 National Umpire School. Develop and enhance individual talents and skills in an elite level umpire school hosted by instructors from all over the United States.

On behalf of USA Softball, congratulations to you and your team for attaining the privilege to compete in the 2017 14u Class B Western National Championship. This prestigious tournament will be hosted by USA Softball of Sacramento in Roseville and Lincoln, CA on July 31 - August 6 2017. Our Association takes deep pride in hosting a National Championship of this caliber and will work very hard to make your experience the best it can be. Since 1978 we have been privileged to play host to an incredible 31 National Championships between the Adult & Junior Olympic Programs.

Please use this website as a resource to find all the information you need regarding this event. If you have never participated in a National before, be sure to read through everything. There are some specific events that you need to be prepared for such as pin trading and the gift exchange. Should you have any questions that are not covered in the pre-tournament packet, please don't hesitate to contact our office.

2017 GSSA SCHOLARSHIP

The Greater Sacramento Softball Association (GSSA) is an affiliation of the Amateur Softball Association (ASA), the National Governing Body of Softball in the United States. As a part of GSSA’s Mission Statement, one of the goals of our organization is to provide scholarships to enable more persons an opportunity for advanced education. The GSSA Scholarship is designed to help assist student-athletes who have participated in the GSSA program.
